When will the CU

  • When will we be able to contribute to the CU development? Some friends and I are excited about it and want to help out. :yoda_lightsaber:

  • Hey. Nice to see interest in helping with development.

I'm not really sure, honestly. The code itself is plenty ready - it's the details that aren't. Things like a patch server for the CU game files or a place for contributors to see what can be worked on and who's doing what isn't set up (properly).

When these things are in place, the repository will become public and an announcement will be made.

  • CU most appealing aspect is still JTL,

as Jump To Light Speed beta tested and went live prior to the 1st expansion Rage of the Wookiees.

Now if you can add in the Ord Space quest lines, convoy missions,

    and player gunships.

You'll have one hell of a firecracker,

in pre CU pob component plasma fires who could actually kill player characters.

After NGE those same plasma fires where little more than an itch,

pre CU grouping sizes means huge star fighter squadrons can be deployed again.

  • From what it seems, Ziggy has parted ways with PSWG, I'm not sure if he'll come back, but he was the main drive behind getting the CU coded.

That's too bad. CU would have been interesting, from my perspective, but I respect Ziggy's decision.
