It's easier to destroy than to create, he has proven it many times
with no developer
so its a pure community server...
Developper or no, i have lost faith in their project, when i "joined" Legend one week a ago, I thought it was something serious.. It seems i was totally wrong..
And now they are back..
4 days and that project already imploded .... AGAIN !!
Told you, this is no longer a drama, this is a comedy..
Reborn has explosed after a few months, now that Legend has explosed after a few days, It looks like Legend's explosion is going to be the last one.. Most of followers must have now lost faith in this 'team' if i can call it a team.. Thx god there are others projects that seem a lot more mature and serious..
I feel sad for all "their" community but i will end with a lulz..
Let's stop to speak about this strange story/project, i don't want to disturb the force here
Ugh... Everywhere you go or whenever you turn around, that Aconite is always in the neighbourhood. Incredible.....
I'm not old enough with their project to say why but he seems to be in the eye of the storm..
I don't even know what to say anymore. Everything bad that could happen has happened when the source code is involved. All this drama makes it seem like there's only a few people out there in charge of these source projects, and they're the ones constantly calling bad shots and messing up. Why can't someone new and capable actually take over? Why must Aconite always be involved? Why do they keep repeating their own mistakes? It's all so silly.
PSWG, you guys are a shining beacon of hope in this dreadful, kafkaesque nightmare of a world that has engulfed the SWG community.
No but seriously, drama like this really makes me happy that you guys aren't as dumb or immature as the other teams.
Kafkaesque nightmare.. i loled
good stuff.. gonna follow the project's evolutions
thanks for the info guys, i doesnt matter who is to blame, what matters is the game survives.
It seems that Legend is about to explode.. This is no longer a drama.. This is a comedy..
It's a good 'arcade FPS' game.. I just regret that we can't create squad once ingame...
Samsung SSD for me aswell.. impossible to go back..
Certainly would be!
I know right? You come to this website to satiate some sense of nostalgia, but by doing so you just want to play it more, and you get more nostalgic, and you want to play the game more... It's a wonderfully terrible cycle.
Yeah and one day it will be...
Totally agree with you Ryloth.. NGE with 32 profession plus the 'hidden' jedi would just be marvellous
I loved the RE system and all deconstructible weapons..
The more we talk about this game, the more i want to play it again !
That's some dedication there, to grind mobs and other missions.. Were you just doing mission terminals? Not "story" missions? I found that when I was tired with the Legacy missions, I would do plenty of planetary quests to fill in the gap. For example, Kashyyyk had some stuff for every level. Themeparks, clone relics, and just screwing around usually rounded out my XP. But to just grind mobs and terminals until level 90 is.. impressive.
I'm not so crazy.. I made my grind on mob and terminals but not until level 90.. Even if mob and terminal were my main source of XP, I used to do some planetary quests to get cool stuff i wanted like the katarn armor.. It gave me a good boost of XP, good stuff to play with.. Of course once i hit a decent level around 70+, i started to do biggest stuff like quest on Kashyyyk and Mustafar, GCW mission and even PVP (for fun)..
Edit : Back on topic, The way to grind a character is another difference between preCU / CU and NGE..
We were forced to pick one base class, losing all the choice and variety with the original system. You had to do the same shitty legacy quest line every time you levelled a character, going to the same planets in the same order.
Once you hit level 90, the game opened up a lot, but compared to the Pre-CU? It was very restrictive imo. I did stop playing in 2009 though, so maybe that added more stuff. I know the quest creator (forget what it was called) was cool.
Yeah i agree that the choice and variety of profession is the weakness of NGE..
EDIT : especially the way to become a jedi during the preCU, fucking awesome system ! /thumbup
In term of grinding a character.. i did the Legacy quest only once and then opted for mission/mob farming ( preCu style ) for my next character.. That was a very good/fun way to grind and discover world / POI / Cave..
Because i have to agree that doing the legacy quest is not the most exiting stuff ingame especially when you already did it..
Maybe you missed, the GCW invasion, the Battlefield pvp instance and all the new GCW system, the collection system and of course all the Heroic instance ( Akxvamin / Tusken invasion / IG droid / Exar Kun temple / Hoth ) Not to mention all the others instance on Mustafar and Kashyyyk.. Trust me, it's tons of stuff to do once level 90
ps: yes the quest creator is the chronicle system..
That was the beauty of pre-cu though. It's a sandbox game, you make the content yourself. Do what you want, when you want, as opposed to the heavy restriction and questing content brought on by the NGE.
To me, you make the content yourself with NGE aswell, but you have a lot more options, nothing comparable with preCU..
To me, the main diffence with PreCu/CU is the content.. The NGE, whatever you think about it, brought tons of stuff to do ingame..
If i had to sum it up simply, i would say :
PreCU / CU : lots of professions and less content
NGE : less professions and more content
